Liberty
The crew used one of the fastest ocean rowing boats in production, a R45 built by Rannoch Adventure in Burnham on Crouch, Essex. Get in touch if you want to hire Liberty.
The Liberty is just over 8.64m overall, with a beam of 1.74m, drawing 0.32m and weighting 940kg fully loaded. It has 3 rowing positions and can sleep 4-5 people in the two cabins. The two cabins are designed to make a more effective self-righting movement in the event of capsize. The design of the forward cabin creates a superior aerodynamic profile, protecting you from headwinds and providing easier control downwind. Each boat takes over 1600 hours to make.
Equipment on board included a water maker, and array of navigation, safety and communication equipment.
